This restaurant was recommended by Monocle magazine that I read frequently. This place is known for German fusion cuisine, so that I couldn't pass on it in Berlin. The restaurant is usually busy during dinner and lunch; make sure to make reservations, especially during weekends. I took my girlfriend there for a date, and we had a bottle of wine. For an appetizer, we had bread with olive oil and salad with vinegar as dressing. The main entree we had was the Beets filled with delicious stuffing and Halibut fish with couscous and potatoes. The servers were super friendly and spoke German and English.

Delicious food! Had my best lunch in quite a while, all three courses were excellent. I love the garden, no cars/noise around, it is quite a special place. I will definitely come back for dinner inside, the restaurant looks amazing. The staff was super friendly and professional, really a 10/10 experience!

Lovely staff, amazing atmosphere, small but great and satisfying selection of wonderful vegan options – went for the risotto balls, yum! Also, mouthwatering Mousse au Chocolate, a must try!

Inside an art school, you'd be expecting a place serving cheapish attempts at tomorrows top nosh. Not quite do here. There are highlights...the soup looks fancy and delivers veggie yumness with an interesting texture twist. The home made bread may look like a 1976 apprentice chefs attempt at fancy, but it does the job like a bridge builder. The olive oil is first rate. The käsespätzle is decent enough, without reaching the lofty heights that full smell cheese would deliver. The pork is ok, though a little on the dry side of life...the salad almost saves it...almost. When it's there, the service is Ace. Problem is, it's as irregular as a rhombus.

This is a great venue and delicious food - but a hit and miss experience. I was seated without a reservation during an evening service (kudos) but they were clearly short staffed. Everything took an absolute age to be delivered (a bottle of water took 20 mins), part of my order was forgotten and I ended up cancelling dessert because it hadn’t arrived after a long time. Prices are also v. high with inflation and I don’t think are justified given the level of service. However, the service was friendly and understanding plus the courtyard is a really nice outdoor setting.

This is not a cheap place. But for a very good experience you don't want to miss this.
The food is great, the service is friendly, and the place is incredibly. The historical setting is super impressive and you'll have a hard time to find a better place for dining in Kreutzberg.

Nice staff and atmosphere but only decent food

I lived in Munich for 2.5 years. So my standards for German food could be higher than other people

Party of 2. I ordered the red mullet. The fish was cooked nicely; the portion could be better. The risotto was quite salty as well as the sauce. Also the chicoree did bit taste that nice. The food would have been at best ok if it was not salty.

Verdict: price/quality ratio is not high enough.
